Week 14: Top 12 Tight Ends

Kyle Rudolph continues to be a solid start.  He’ll be without Percy Harvin for the rest of the season.  Something that could hurt his stock.

Klye-Rudolph

1. Tony Gonzalez @ Panthers

2. Jimmy Graham @ Giants

3. Martellus Bennett vs Saints

4. Jermaine Gresham vs Cowboys

5. Aaron Hernandez vs Texans

6. Heath Miller vs Chargers

7. Jason Witten @ Bengals

8. Owen Daniels @ Patriots

9. Kyle Rudolph vs Chicago

10. Dennis Pitta @ Redskins

11. Brandon Pettigrew @ Packers

12. Jacob Tamme vs Raiders

Missing from this list is the tight end star of last week Brandon Myers.  Myers has a tough Thursday night match up.  Thursday nights have been sluggish for many players this season.  I don’t like Myers this week. Always an okay PPR start.  Don’t expect last week.  On the other side I think Tamme can have a decent start.  Oakland’s pourus defense should be torched by Manning.

I don’t think the loss of Percy Harvin will crush Kyle Rudolph’s numbers.  The 50+ yards and a threat in the red zone area should be expected.

Aaron Hernandez and the Patriots welcome the Texans Monday night.  He became a bigger part of the offense last week.  He should be targeted early and often in this game.  Edelman is out and makes getting Hernandez the ball a priority. Owen Daniels is a must start.  Pats can be very susceptible to good tight end play.  I’m looking for 80 yards and a possible TD.

Dennis Pitta is usually a much better start at home.  Mostly due to Joe Flacco being a horror show on the road.  I think Pitta can be a usable option in Washington.

If you need a pick up for this week.  Tony Moeaki in Kansas City scored in the double digits with a TD.  He hasn’t been seeing a ton of targets.  But he’s been making the most of his opportunities.  Another good week could be in store.
