The Chiefs are on the clock. Will they go QB or look to another position to help?
1 – KC: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M,
KC needs a QB. There’s a few ways they can go. If they love a guy on the boards they will grab him. A trade for a QB is also an opion. Joekel is the safe option.
2 – JAX: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah,
The Jags need a lot. A big D-lineman is always a nice addition.
3 – OAK: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Oakland should sign Desmond Bryant and cut ties with Richard Seymour. Drafting Moore could give them a very good front four. As long as Moore reaches his potential. Needs to bulk up a little to be effective with his hand
4 – PHI: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Year after year the Eagles OLine needs an up grade. Fisher is a big body that should help upgrade a very bad unit.
5 – DET: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
There’s a lot of holes on the Lions defense. Milliner is a good start.
6 – CLE: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Browns need to fill a big hole at defensive end. Reminds me of a Ryan Kerrigan type player.
7 – ARI: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
It’s no secret the Cards need a new QB. IF Smith is available I think they have to take him. Could be gone with first pick.
8 – BUF: Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
A lot of money has been spent on the D-line. Time to move to the next level. safety is a concern if Byrd leaves. Injury concerns. Could drop.
9 – NYJ: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
Jets need to get back to the defense they had when heading to AFC championship games. Ansah is a speedy strong and relentless pass rusher.
10 – TEN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
It’s early for a guard, Titans O-Line has been awful the last two seasons and needs an upgrade.
11 – SD: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
A little early here for Johnson, Chargers need a LT and could trade back. Huge body
12 – MIA: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Tannehill needs better weapons. Patterson had a great year after a few years in junior college.
13 – TB: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas
Hard hitting safety with good coverage skills. Will ease the transition when Barber does finally retire. Could also look for a corner here.
14 – CAR: Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
Carolina had a tough time against the run at times. (110.1 rush yards against) Richardson fills a need. Moves the pocket well against the pass.
15 – NO: Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
Tough pass rusher in the Chandler Jones type mold. Gets in good position to shut down the run.
16 – STL: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
The defense is young and on the rise. The offensive line needs a lot of help. TE could use an upgrade as Kendricks hasn’t done much. Two picks in RD1 gives them flexibility. Upgrades DT’s, as they were
17 – PIT: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
Steelers need a big body in the middle of the defense.
18 – DAL: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
The running game never really got going last season. Many of Romo’s mistakes came from pressure and getting hit.
19 – NYG: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Safety is a need. One of the leagues worst defenses adds a young talent against the pass.
20 – CHI: Manti Te’o, ILB, Notre Dame
Brian Urlacher looks like his best days are far in the rearview mirror. Te’o adds a similar type player in the middle.
21 – CIN: Keenan Allen, WR, California
Cincy gives a perfect complement to one of the games rising stars. Allen is a perfect number two.
22 – STL: D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
A bit early for Fluker. Rams need a RT in the worst way. Fluker is a massive tackle who should start from day one.
23 – MIN: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
A small but versatile player. Skills compare to Percy Harvin who wants out.
24 – IND: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Last year the Colts spent a lot on the offense. Time to get better on the defensive side.
25 – SEA: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
Seattle is a good young and deep team. Another weapon with size for Wilson can only help.
26 – GB: Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama
Jeff Saturday has retired. Jones is a need for an offensive line that almost got Rodgers killed at times. A tight end could go here due to Finley’s poor play and contract situation.
27 – HOU: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
It’s been swing and miss for every WR they grabbed other than Johnson. Hopkins could be the playmaker they need on the other side.
28 – DEN: Matt Elam, SS, Florida
Denver’s safety play was terrible. Elam adds a physical game with solid coverage skills.
29 – NE: Jesse Williams, DT, Alabama
With few picks in this years draft I expect a trade back. Unless someone falls here they love. Desmond Trufant is a possibility at corner. Williams is a massive body who can stuff double teams. Play inside and end. Williams adds a big player next to Wilfork. He be a big upgrade over Love and Deaderick.
30 – ATL: Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
Falcons may part ways with John Abraham. Falcons could also go tight end here.
31 – SF: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
Trufant is a good young corner on the rise. Could end a starter by game 1.
32 – BAL: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia
Ray Lewis is gone. Ogeltree would be a welcomed addition. Recent DUI could cause him to fall here. Could go earlier.
