Deep Sleepers

Alfred Morris was a deep sleeper at this time last year.  He gained momentum through the preseason.  Who could play their way onto your fantasy roster this year?

Bennie Cunningham – St. Louis Rams
-5’10” 209lbs, lifted 225lbs at the 2013 combine 26 times.
-undrafted due to torn patella tendon.
-Played in 5 games last season.  Ran for over two hundred yards twice (Georgia Tech & Florida International University)
600 yards rushing, 6.2 yards a carry.  Scored 11 touchdowns & added 9 receptions for 109 yards.  1 fumble
-Faces a lot of young hungry competition at runningback and all over the offense.
-Tough defensive division
-Second fastest back only to Richardson.  Plays more physical and he has pass catching ability that will get him involved more.
-4 carries for 20 yards in first preseason game.  Had a 26 yard return.
Stepfan Taylor – Arizona Cardinals
– Stanford university record for yards rushing (4,300) and touchdowns (45)
-5’9” 215lbs
– Early camp injuries have led to a lot of work for Taylor
-Could steal goal line touches
-20 Carries for 64 yards in first preseason game
-In Bruce Arians pass first offense
Travaris Cadet – New Orleans Saints
-2012 free agent out of Appalachian State
-6’1” 210lbs
-Runs, Catches and Returns
-Not a lock to make the team
-Injuries will have to open doors for him to establish a role.
WR
Chris Harper – Seattle Seahawks
-6’1” 234lbs fourth round pick in 2013
-1 reception for 8 yards in first preseason game.
Quinton Patton – San Fransisco 49ers
-6’0” 204lbs
-2012 first round pick ahead of him AJ jenkins is struggling
-Broken finger in camp has limited him.
-183 receptions for 2,594 yards and 24 touchdowns at Louisiana Tech
-Harbaugh seems to like him. liked that he flew out a week early to training camp.  was turned away because rookies couldn’t report yet.

Zach Sudfeld – New England Patriots
-Undrafted rookie
-Injuries have opened up playing time
-had one reception for 22 yards in week one of preseason
-Looks like a red zone threat.
