Week 8: Top 12 Quarterbacks

There’s a lot of injuries and bye weeks.  Vick is back after Nick Foles disappointed and then went out with a concussion.  Let’s look at this week’s matchups.

1.   Peyton Manning vs Redskins

2.   Drew Brees vs Bills

3.  Cam Newton @ Buccaneers

4.   Aaron Rodgers @ Vikings

5.   Matt Stafford vs Cowboys

6.   Robert Griffin @ Broncos

7.   Russell Wilson @ Rams

8.   Tony Romo @ Lions

9.   Tom Brady vs Dolphins

10.   Colin Kaepernick @ Jaguars

11.  Matt Ryan @ Cardinals

12. Andy Dalton vs Jets

Everyone in this top 12 is a good play this week.  Manning hosting the Redskins is a no brainer.  Cam on Thursday night should shine against a struggling Buccaneers team.  Even Glennon could be a good bye week fill in.  Aaron Rodgers is missing weapons but the Vikings are so bad it wont matter.  Stafford and Johnson were back to old tricks.  They should be great again when Dallas comes to town.  The Washington defense is so bad it will give RGIII plenty of opportunities to be on the field scoring points for your fantasy team.  Russell Wilson should have another good performance against a underachieving Rams defense.  Tony Romo should have a bounce back week in Detroit.  Tom Brady and the Patriots are a different team at home.  I expect 2-3 TD passes this week.  Colin Kaepernick has a good match up.  The Jags can’t stop anyone.  Matt Ryan looked amazing without Julio Jones and Roddy White.  I think that may take a step back this week.  Andy Dalton has played better lately.  The Jets looked good against the Patriots.  But the aren’t perfect.  They got beat a few times against the Steelers in week six.  Dalton is a good play at home this week.

Vick is back under center with the Eagles.  They take on the Giants who finally got a win Monday night.  Eli Manning hasn’t been good this year.  The Eagles pass defense hasn’t either.  Both quarterback could end with solid fantasy days.

Roethlisberger and the Steelers head out to Oakland.  Roethlisberger has only 7 TD’s on the season.  He’s a mediocre fantasy play.  I don’t think he’ll kill you, but you can find better.  On the other side.  Pryor has been up and down.  Coming off the bye week could provide a better second half for him.  This could be a low scoring game and I don’t expect either QB to go off on Sunday.
