Week 6: Waiver wire/Free agents

Every week someone unowned plays well.  Let’s take a look at who may be out there this week.

Brian Hoyer

Hoyer has looked good and his receivers have been dependable.  He is a nice bye week fill-in.

Andre Williams

If you drafted him and still own him, good job being patient.  The last two weeks he’s been worth a start.  Jennings knee injury will keep him out a few weeks.  I’ve seen Williams out there and he’s a must grab and play against Philly this week.

Brandon Oliver

Oliver ran wild against the Jets and faces Oakland.  Plenty of backs have torched them in the past years.  Grab and start if you have bye weeks and injuries hurting you.  His value may be limited soon when Ryan Mathews comes back. hold onto him after he does.  Mathews has missed a lot of time over his career.

Antone Smith

If you have to consider Toby Gerhart on a weekly basis, Smith is a great pick-up.  He’s had big games as of late.  His role could greatly increase in the coming weeks.  Smith has racked up 277 yards on 11 carries and 6 receptions.  Four of those went for touchdowns.

Justin Hunter

It took a while for Hunter to finally have a big game.  Another could follow with Jacksonville coming to town.

Stevie Johnson

Johnson has found the end zone twice.  Continued targets in the red zone will help his value.

Andre Roberts

Roberts has been getting involved more and more.   The yardage isn’t there.  He’s found the end zone twice the last two games.  Only consider in deep PPR leagues.
