Week 8: Quarterbacks

Manning takes on Rodgers as they both come off  ye weeks.  Roethlisberger may be back and Brady faces Tannehill in a Thursday night game in Foxboro.

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers at Oakland Raiders

1. Matt Ryan

2. Tom Brady

3. Drew Brees
4. Cam Newton
5. Andy Dalton
Matt Ryan is always a great play at home.  This week Tampa comes to town.  They just made Kirk cousins the quarterback to play.  Ryan should be huge this week.  Brady has 20 touchdowns and only 2 picks on Thursday games.  After Miami faced two bad teams in a row, I expect the rookie coach to get rolled by Belichick and New England.  Drew Brees is back home and faces a Giants defense that gives up a ton yards and points.  Cam Newton continues to be a solid play as the offense runs through him.    Andy Dalton is coming off a bye week.  Hopefully he and the Bengals offense don’t get out of sync and Dalton continues to hit his multiple weapons.  Steelers are poor against the pass.

6. Aaron Rodgers
7. Matt Stafford
8. Carson Palmer
9. Philip Rivers
10. Ryan Tannehill
Aaron Rodgers comes off a bye week hoping to get his weapons healthy.  Lacy should be good to go and Davante Adams will return from a long absence.  They will need everyone against a tough Denver defense.  Stafford and the Lions offense has been much better lately.  I think the Lions get going early in London and he has a nice day.  Carson Palmer is back on road after a home Monday night game.  Arizona should have a nice balance of run and pass this week. Rivers had a down week against Oakland.  But at the end of the day it wasn’t a bad fantasy week,  He’ll continue to be a solid start as San Diego heads to Baltimore.  The Ravens have struggled to stop the pass and I expect similar numbers to last week.  The Dolphins destroyed Houston who barely bothered to get off the bus in Miami.  A short week with a new coach on the road may prove to be a tougher game than the past two against a division foe.

11. Andrew Luck
12. Joe Flacco
13. Teddy Bridgewater
14. Ben Roethlisberger
15. Russell Wilson
Andrew Luck and Colts are struggling.  A tough matchup in Carolina wont help.  When the game is said and done Luck will post good enough numbers.  San Diego is banged up in the secondary and Flacco should be solid.  Teddy B has found a nice weapon in Diggs.  In daily leagues I’d shy away from Roethlisberger until we see how he plays.  In seasonal leagues I’d play him as long as you don’t have somebody with a great matchup.
