Week 9: Quarterbacks

Brady continues to roll.  Rodgers hopes to rebound in Carolina and Brees has another great matchup at home.

1. Drew Brees

2. Tom Brady

3. Andy Dalton

4. Philip Rivers

5. Matt Ryan

Brees comes off a monster week at against the Giants.  New Orleans is home again, against Tennessee who just fired Ken Whisenhunt.  Tennessee is giving up less than 200 yards per game through the air.  This just seems like too perfect a storm for the Saints not to come up big again.  Brady has been great all year and his weapons are all healthy.  They had a little extra rest after last Thursday’s beating of the Dolphins.  Washington is a bit banged up, but comes off a bye week.  Dalton and the Cincinnati offense should rebound against a bad Browns team.  I like everyone this week for the Bengals.  Rivers lost Keenan Allen for the season.  he still has plenty of people to throw it to and a good matchup.  Inman, Floyd and Johnson are all capable receivers and Woodhead helps out a lot too.  There’s also good tight end play.  Rivers should be okay this week.  Matt Ryan has been better on the road this season.  Atlanta travels to San Francisco to face a Blaine Gabbert lead team.  Atlanta could have the ball a lot and the 49ers aren’t good against the pass.

6. Aaron Rodgers

7. Eli Manning

8. Cam Newton

9. Tyrod Taylor

10. Ryan Tannehill

Rodgers had a terrible game against a tough Denver defense.  He faces another tough test in Carolina.  I think the offense if better this week as Carolina is playing after a OT Monday night win over Indy.  Eli Manning found Odell Beckham and others for a huge day in New Orleans.  It wouldn’t shock me if this week was another high scoring game in Tampa. Cam Newton made the best of having zero good receivers.  He ran a lot and could have had a much bigger night if it weren’t for all the drops and bad receiver play.  Taylor and Tannehill faceoff in an AFC east battle.  Taylor is coming off injury and a bye week.  He was a good start each week before the injury.

11. Derek Carr

12. Blake Bortles

13. Ben Roethlisberger

14. Peyton Manning

Carr has 7 TD’s and zero interceptions in two games after Oakland’s bye week.  The offense is rolling and it should continue in Pittsburgh.  Steelers are giving up a ton of yardage through the air.  Oakland will have to keep Carr upright against a tough Steelers pass rush.
