Week 13: Runningbacks

Lacy is playing much better.  Last weeks turnovers were killer and kept him from scoring even more.  If he holds onto the ball Lacy should put up big numbers.   LeGarrette Blount hasn’t done much for owners this season.  He has a good chance to come up big this week.  Forte and Langford should both be usable options at home against the 49ers.

1. DeAngelo Williams

2. Doug Martin

3. LeGarrette Blount

4. Adrian Peterson

5. Jonathon Stewart

Williams hasn’t been the same guy who ran so well at the beginning of  the year. He has a great matchup at home and I think he bounces back this week to be the best RB available.  Martin has rushed for over 300 yards in the last two weeks combined.  He went for 71 against Atlanta on the road a few weeks ago.  I like Martin to rack up the yards rushing and receiving.  Getting in the end zone is key.  Atlanta has given up the second most rushing TD’s this season with 13. I could see this one getting out of hand with the way Atlanta has been playing.

It’s December and the Eagles who have been getting crushed the last few weeks are headed to Gillette stadium.  This is when Blount transforms into a beast and all signs point to that starting this week. They need him with all the injuries to New England’s offense.   Peterson was the back to have last week.  Seattle is a tough defense.  But Peterson is a tough runner.  Minnesota he should have no issues running.  In the past six games Jonathon Stewart has had 20 or more carries.  He has 4 scores in that span and will see that type of work again this week.  New Orleans defense is terrible and Stewart could be in for multiple touchdowns as long as Newton doesn’t take them all.

6. Lesean McCoy

7. Chris Ivory

8. DeVonta Freeman

9. Todd Gurley

10. Javorius Allen

Houston’s defense has been much better overall.  McCoy is still a big part of the offense and will have a good fantasy day in Buffalo.  Chris Ivory looks like he’s over the hamstring injury.  He had a nice comeback week against Miami after 2 slower fantasy games in a row.  Giants defense is bad.  This one could be a shoot out.  Ivory will have plenty of chances.

Freeman hasn’t scored in a few games and he’s coming off a concussion.  It seems like he’s trending in the wrong direction.  I’d give him a shot in Tampa.  His body got a week off from punishment and he could go big in the final week or two of your fantasy league.  He helped you get this far.  Gurley’s coming out party was in Arizona.  He didn’t do anything until the second half.  St. Louis’s quarterback play has been atrocious and it’s limiting Gurley.  With the Cardinals in town they’re going to have to lean of him and the defense to pull this one out.

Javorius Allen had a solid debut.  If this game was at home and Baltimore didn’t just play Monday night, I’d consider Allen at the top of this list. Schaub managed the offense well and Allen was good.  There’s but point potential here.  I just don’t love they are on the road off a shortened week.  Miami has surpassed the Browns in giving up the most rushing yards per game in the NFl.

11. Eddie Lacy

12. Charcandrick West

13. Thomas Rawls

14. David Johnson

15. Ronnie Hillman

16. Matt Forte

17. Mark Ingram

18. DeMarco Murray

19. Jeremy Hill

20. Giovanni Bernard

21. Lamar Miller

22. CJ Anderson

23. DeMarco Murray

24. Darren McFadden
