I wouldn’t go crazy with pickups this week. But a few names did standout this week and I think their long-term value will hold.
Eli had a great 2015. With Cruz healthy and Sterling Shepard looking like he’s in store for a nice rookie year, things could get even better for Eli. He’s one of my top QB’s for week 2.
Winston threw 4 TD’s against a bad Atlanta offense. I liked him coming into the season and he could be a solid contributor as a starter most weeks.
Riddick is a PPR star. He found the end zone in Indy and looks like Detroit will finally feature Riddick more than they have in past seasons. With Calvin Johnson gone, Jones, Tate and Ebron and Riddick will be the top 4 targets for Stafford.
Chris Ivory was released from the hospital today. Why he was there is still unclear and who knows when he’l be back. With a nice week 2 matchup in San Diego Yeldon should be scooped and played this week.
Richard ripped off a big run against Atlanta. One of his three carries. He was also targeted twice by Carr and caught both passes. He’s more of a handcuff to Murray owners. but you may want to grab him or put him on a watch list in case he makes this a regular thing.
The Texans first round pick continued his nice preseason with a 100 yard game and a TD. Fuller will be quiet some weeks but playing opposite Deandre Hopkins will give him extra opportunities.
The Colts threw a lot in week one. Luck targeted him 6 times and he turned it into 4 receptions for 94 yards. Dorsett has big time speed and will have a few monster games this season.
Rogers had a nice opening night in Washington. Finding the endzone on one of his 6 receptions. He’s a WR 4 most weeks. But with bye weeks and inevidable injuries around the league he could be a great guy to have on your roster.
Allen was a left over after many drafts. Doyle was the story week one and should be monitored the next couple weeks for targets. But Allen will be involved in the offense for sure and is worth a pick up.
