Waiver Wire Wednesday: Week 2

Heading into week one it was a few rookies and a couple vets made impacts.  Don’t panic yet and make a bunch moves because you lost.  Teams and players can take a week or two to get into the groove.  If a player you own has a track record of success, don’t dump them for the flavor of the week.

Kenny Golladay

Golladay caught two TD’s in his first preseason game.  Then did it again in his first regular season game.  He’s a legit receiver and in a great situation with a good quarterback and weapons around him.  Jump on Golladay this week.  He will have season long value.

Cooper Kupp

I was high on Kupp in the NFL draft.  He showed up in week one and found the end zone.  Kupp will be a week to week contributor to your fantasy team.  He’ll be a decent flex and bye week fill-in depending on the match up.  I have Kupp second on my priority list this week.

Tarik Cohen

Cohen stormed onto the scene week one averaging 13 yards a carry and catching 8 passes.  Cohen scored and had a stat line that we thought would have been more reflective of Christian McCaffrey.  He a bigger PPR grab than standard scoring. But the lack of weapons in the Bears offense means we haven’t heard the last of the diminutive Cohen.  If you lack depth at running back consider him your first priority.

Kerwynn Williams / Andre Ellington

David Johnson owners should flock to Williams.  Other owners should grab him and deal him to Johnson owners.  He looks like the standard league grab while teammate Andre Ellington could be the PPR grab.  Both will have long-term value while Johnson is out.

Chris Carson

Seattle has been on the look out for a steady runningback and you may want to give Chris Carson a chance.  Carson had six carries for 39 yards.  Seattle’s runningbacks have a large history of injuries and Lacy just isn’t good.  Carson could be the next man up sooner than later.

Nelson Agholor

Coming into his third season Agoholor was close to the bust label.  But Wentz fed him the ball totaling a stat line of 6 receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown.  Success will keep him on the field and Wentz targeting him.  Bolster your bench with Agholor if you need receiver depth.  He could have a break out year and become a staple as a WR3 or flex.

Jacksonville Jaguars DST

Jacksonville has done a great job of blending signings and drafting.  Fowler and Campbell were unstoppable last week.  They have two excellent corners and will be top defense this season.  They wont have double-digit sacks every week. But the Jags defense is for real. If you streamed the Bills last week, Grab Jacksonville this week.
